Dr Ravikant Joshi has a flamboyant background. An Urban Management and Urban Financial Management Expert. For the past ten years after taking voluntary retirement from Vadodara Municipal Corporation is working for CRISIL Risk and Infrastructure Solutions Ltd. Mumbai as an advisor for their Urban Practices. His Expertise is in designing, implementing and/or reforming various systems like accounting, budgeting, financial management, performance measurement, property tax, tax recovery and collection systems in urban local bodies. Carrying out various sectoral analysis for multilateral and government agencies in the field of urban management, finance, service delivery.

He is a trustee to many other NGOs.
